Okanecert
Okanecert is a word that has been made up in my Web 3 class for a small competition we’re having. Okanecert is not a real word, so chillax and listen to some Jack Johnson.

In the Search Engine Optimization book, I found out that more than 80% of web-visitors use search engines. Google is the top search engine, followed by Yahoo and MSN. Google was found in 1999 and grew to a database of 4 billion by February 2004. A SERP is a search engine result page.
I also learned that a directory is a web search tool compiled manually by human editors. The two directories are DMOZ and Yahoo. An On-Page factor is something that is on your page to help build popularity while an Off-Page factor is something off your page to increase popularity.
Partnering For Success
Partnerships on the Web are established in two ways: searching out a partner or having a partner find you. Once you have created a presence on the net and your site is receiving large volume hits, other Web publishers will approach you with their ideas. Partnering is very valuable in high tech fields where it’s difficult to remain on top of the rapidly changing technology.
Having a partner can help you in many ways. If you find something difficult, or maybe you don’t have time to do it, your partner can take over. You also develop relationships that will set the standard for future relationships. You also get larger volume hits with a partner.

WordPress is pretty cool. I think it’s neat that we can communicate with our classmates without phones or E-Mail. I also like that we can change themes for our personal desires.
